Installation Instructions for an ATC.
For installation guides for an MLF-05 Lima Re-Motor Kit, please go to this page.
installation of an ATC is described here:
Once you have decided to purchase a ModelTorque Automatic Torque-control Coupling you will need to install it in your locomotive. All of our distributors are able to assist with installation or you can do it yourself by following some simple steps.
Please note also that an ATC will not fit all locomotives. Please view the product information page for dimensions of an ATC to decide whether it will fit your locomotive. As a guide, Athearn and Bachmann locomotives are most suitable for this conversion.
Provided with your ATC are two axles which need to be attached between the drive shaft bushing and the ATC. Instruction sheet is here.
You also need to replace your existing motor with your new ModelTorque Automatic Torque-control Coupling. Instruction booklet is here.
Good luck with your new project! It should take about 60 minutes. If you have difficulties or need advice with your installation, please email Graham for technical support. You should have our response within 48 hours.
