PayTel Australia Pty. Ltd. designs, installs and operates radio payphones operating through cellular radio and/or satellite links. Our payphones are installed throughout Australia on most long-distance passenger trains, coastal shipping vessels and in outback mining camps. All PayTel products are designed and manufactured in Australia.

The accumulated experience of mechanical and electronic engineering developed over 10 years in the telecommunications industry is now being applied to developing a range of products for the hobby of model railroading. This new product range is being marketed via PayTel's business unit "ModelTorque".

ModelTorque has released several unique products, and we plan to continue with the development and release of a number of additional new products during 2005. Already available is ModelTorque’s Automatic Torque-control Coupling, known as an ATC or SMAT (Sealed Miniature Automatic Transmission). These products were developed to fulfil a need for a more prototypical operation of model railroad locomotives, and are protected by world-wide patents.

We also have available a range of re-motor products that provide a replacement for worn and poorly-performing drive motors. During 2005 we plan to release a range of animation and optics products, plus some unique radio-based systems.

We are based in Melbourne, Australia with resellers in every continent in the world. We offer an efficient mail order business from our Melbourne office, accepting orders via our secure on-line ordering facility, via mail, fax, phone and over the counter by appointment.

We accept all major credit cards as forms of payment world wide, as well as Cheques, Money Orders and Direct Deposits from Australian residents only.
We also list regularly on Ebay so you can bid safely there and use our secure ebay payments page to make a credit card payment. As we are a merchant for all major credit cards we do not offer PayPal as a payment form.
